About Paul

I have 8 years experience teaching many aspects of sociology, research methods, data analysis, and SPSS (4 years full-time in a lecturing capacity at a Russell group university). I've designed modules on various topics and I've set coursework and marked literally thousands of undergraduate assignments. I've supervised around 50 dissertations to completion, with a good proportion of 1st class output and no fails. Since starting private tuition in November 2017 I've tutored over 50 students from a variety of social science backgrounds.

I have 8 years experience teaching SPSS, research methods, sociology, data analysis, statistics (4 years full-time in a lecturing capacity). I've designed modules in various aspects of research methods and statistics. I've set coursework and I've marked literally thousands of quantitative methods assignments. I've supervised around 50 dissertations to completion, with a good proportion of 1st class output and no fails. Over the last year I've worked with over 50 students in a private tuition capacity.

Pricings:

I charge between £50 and £60 per hour, depending on your educational level.

Location:

I can tutor online, at your home, or in a library / coffee shop. I can also tutor at my home.

Availability:

I am available Monday - Friday, 9-5 plus some evenings.

Paul has been great and great fun to work with. I wanted to get to grips with how to use and understand the fearsome beast IBM SPSS. I had the data for a study conducted as part of an MBA, but very little idea how to crunch it. I passed my thesis with a good grade and as a result will be graduating in a month! Thank you Paul!!!
I was writing my MSc Marketing thesis from a Dutch university. Paul was very helpful with helping me with my dataset, cleaning, analysing and interpreting results. He also helped me with my whole thesis, regarding structure, the content itself and how to interpret results into a language everyone understands. My university is very fussy and big on the quantative side of things, and his lessons helped me understand everything myself so I was able to talk about it fluently to my supervisors. Also the fact it was a different subject area and quite difficult to understand sometimes shows he Is very intelligent and can apply his knowledge to different contexts.

After only one session with Paul, I regained my confidence, and I started progressing in my experiment and writing my disertation. Paul has a unique approach in teaching, I have never experienced such an effective way of learning before. He would explain the logic behind the methods and guide me through SPSS at the same time he would allow me to practice what we covered in the session. He was very patient and dedicated during the sessions and showed continuous interest and support till the end.
