As a native Afrikaans speaker, I have a deep love for the language and its unique culture. I understand that Afrikaans can feel intimidating for many students, so I pride myself on being patient, encouraging, and easy to talk to. My goal is to create a comfortable space where you feel safe making mistakes, as that is the fastest way to learn. I am dedicated to helping you move past the frustration and helping you find your own 'voice' in Afrikaans.

My Afrikaans lessons are designed to turn a challenging subject into a manageable and enjoyable experience. I focus heavily on mastering the STOMPI rules, expanding your vocabulary through interactive conversation, and perfecting Taal concepts like Lydende en Bedrywende vorm. We will work through past papers together to ensure you are fully prepared for exams, while also focusing on building the confidence you need for oral assessments. Each lesson is customized to your specific school curriculum, whether you are following CAPS or IEB.
