About El Myco
I am El Myco Acuña, a pre-service Chemistry and Education graduate from Southern Leyte State University — but my love for language and reading has always run parallel to my science background.
I believe that reading is the foundation of all learning. You cannot master chemistry, solve math problems, or understand any subject deeply without first being able to read with comprehension and confidence. That belief is what drives me to teach English Reading — because I have seen firsthand how struggling readers become struggling learners across every subject.
My teaching approach is learner-centered and patient. I ask questions, I listen, and I adapt. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all method — every reader has a different starting point, and my job is to meet you exactly where you are.
I am trained in andragogical and pedagogical strategies, which means I can work effectively with both younger learners and adult students. Whether you're reading for school, for work, or simply for yourself — I will help you get there.
