About Maksim
Hi! I’m Maksim, a dedicated and patient student with a strong academic record, including straight A’s every quarter of middle school. I have advanced math skills and strong abilities in English, reading, and grammar, and I am fluent in English and Russian. I am also learning Spanish (B1 CEFR level) and German, which helps me better understand how students learn new languages.
I have experience tutoring my younger sister and assisting classmates with schoolwork, helping them better understand difficult concepts and improve their confidence. I am reliable, organized, and committed to creating a supportive and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress.

Hi! I’m Maksim, a dedicated and patient student with a strong academic record, including straight A’s throughout middle school. My tutoring approach focuses on helping students improve their reading comprehension and grammar skills through clear explanations, practice, and encouragement.
My teaching method:
I break down reading and grammar concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps. I use examples, guided reading, and practice exercises to help students understand not just the rules, but how to apply them. I adapt my teaching style to each student, whether they learn best through visuals, repetition, or discussion.
A typical lesson:
Start with a short reading passage or review of homework
Identify key areas to improve (comprehension, vocabulary, grammar)
Practice with guided exercises and explanations
End with a recap and tips to strengthen skills independently
