About Joseph
Hi, my name is Joseph, and I am a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill studying Computer Science and Data Science. I take tutoring seriously and aim to create a supportive, structured learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and making progress. I am patient, reliable, and focused on helping students truly understand the material rather than just rushing through assignments. Families can expect consistency, professionalism, and clear communication from me at all times.

My teaching style
- I focus on making things make sense, not just rushing through problems
- I explain concepts out loud step by step and slow down when students need it
- I ask questions as we go so I can tell what the student understands and where they are stuck
- I try to keep lessons calm and encouraging so students feel comfortable asking questions
What a typical lesson looks like
- We start by going over what the student is working on in class or any assignments they are struggling with
- I walk through examples with the student and explain my thinking
- The student practices similar problems while I watch and give feedback
- We end by reviewing what we covered and talking about what to focus on next
