About Jewel May Pilapil
Hello! I’m Jewel May Pilapil, a patient, friendly, and dedicated English tutor who enjoys helping learners become more confident in using the language. As a nursing student, I have developed strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills through my academic and practical experiences.
I understand that learning English can sometimes feel challenging or intimidating, especially when speaking. That is why I aim to create a comfortable and supportive learning environment where students can ask questions, practice freely, and learn from their mistakes without feeling pressured.

Hi! I’m Jewel May Pilapil, a friendly and patient tutor who believes that learning English should feel comfortable, practical, and enjoyable. My goal is to help students become more confident in using English, whether they want to improve their speaking, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, or everyday communication skills.
My Teaching Approach
I use a student-centered and interactive approach. I adjust my lessons according to the learner’s English level, goals, and areas that need improvement. Rather than simply giving explanations, I encourage students to participate through conversations, questions, examples, and practice activities. I also explain difficult concepts in simple and easy-to-understand ways.
Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson begins with a short warm-up or casual conversation to help the student feel comfortable using English. We then focus on the main topic of the lesson, such as vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, or conversational English. I provide examples and guide the student through practice activities before allowing them to apply what they learned through conversation or exercises. At the end of the lesson, we review the key points and identify areas to continue practicing.
What Sets Me Apart
As a tutor, I value patience, understanding, and encouragement. I understand that students learn at different speeds, so I create a supportive environment where they can make mistakes without feeling embarrassed. I also enjoy communicating with people and finding simple ways to explain ideas.
