About Matthew
"I am a Secondary 4 student at ACS (Independent) with a passion for mentoring younger students. Having spent years in one of Singapore’s most rigorous academic environments, I have developed highly effective study habits and a deep understanding of the MOE syllabus that I am eager to share.
I specialize in tutoring Primary 1 to 4 students because I believe these years are the most critical for building a child’s confidence and interest in Math and Science. My background at ACS(I) has equipped me with advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to explain complex ideas in simple, relatable ways. Beyond just grades, I strive to be a positive role model for my students—teaching them the discipline, time management, and critical thinking skills needed to excel in top-tier schools. I am patient, dependable, and committed to helping my tutees transition smoothly into the more demanding upper-primary levels."

My lessons go beyond rote memorization; I focus on mastering the Bar Model method for Math and the CER (Claim, Evidence, Reasoning) technique for Science, which are critical for the 2026 syllabus. I am patient, encouraging, and dedicated to helping younger learners find confidence in their abilities. By sharing the same effective study habits and heuristics that have helped me succeed at ACS(I), I aim to help your child not only improve their grades but also develop a genuine interest in learning."
