About Maria
I am an art historian and psychology student with a deep love for yoga. I have been practicing since I was only 17, and am currently 200-hour certified under Yoga Alliance. At Sacred Sounds New York, I trained under experienced teachers whose practices have developed the impact of Vinyasa worldwide. This means that I have a strong foundation in tradition, but am familiar with all the variations that Vinyasa allows.

Like a piece of music or a painting, a yoga practice ebbs and flows, possessing loud moments and quiet ones. It is my practice to tailor classes to what my students need - not just what I feel like teaching that day! Each class builds to specific foci, both physically and mentally. It is important to me to connect individually with all my students so that I can better tailor the class to their needs.
