About Laura
Hi, I’m Laura! I am an award-winning professional classical singer, teacher of 6 years and a recent graduate from the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where I held a scholarship.
My performance career thus far has spanned opera stages and concert platforms including; The Royal Albert Hall, The Barbican, Southwark Cathedral and Rochester Cathedral.
I have always taught alongside my career as a singer, and feel passionate about helping students feel confident in their voice, technically and artistically. My students habe gone on to win competitions, gain places at prestigious conservatoire junior departments, as well as land roles in opera productions.

My teaching is rooted in healthy vocal production, drawing on the Accent Method and Alexander Technique to build strong, sustainable voices.
Each lesson begins with a tailored full body warm-up to release tension, followed by a targeted vocal warm-up designed to develop core technical skills.
Once we are warmed up, I encourage students to bring repertoire they feel passionate about working towards. Working on repertoire gives us an opportunity to apply the technical work we have studied in the warm up.
Lessons follow each student's own goals, and we work collaboratively on the technique to reach them- students learn to identify what they're feeling, which lets me diagnose problems precisely from their own descriptions.

Perfect! I had my first virtual session with Laura today and although I wasn't sure what to expect, I got more from Laura than I had hoped for. She ran me through exercises which showed me where I could improve and gave me a great deal to work on. I felt energised and much more confident even after just one session, can't wait for the next.

I started lessons with Laura about six months ago as a complete beginner and I've been really impressed. She's patient and explains things clearly. I've noticed a real improvement in my confidence and technique. Would definitely recommend her to anyone thinking about learning to sing or get better.
