About Lethukuthula Sibuso
I finished high school when I was 15 years old and I went to Wits University to study Astronomy and Astrophysics, which I have now branched into Computational and Applied Maths. During my high school time, I held various leadership positions such as RCL Deputy President, RCL Chairperson, and Library Assistant. Starting from 2018, I joined university and I have been a volunteer at Ikamva Youth as well as Amnesty International South Africa. I was also Amnesty International Wits Society Vice President last year and currently, I am the President of the Wits Model United Nations. I am well-spoken, which would explain why I am also part of the Wits Debating Union.

I base my classes on the content, ensuring learners understand before asking them any questions. Then, I give cool pointers to all kids in my classes to say this is a takeaway from this week, as well as a little quiz with most questions varying among the learners. No matter how big a class is, I get to give every learner a one-on-one session, so every week I get to see them all at different times. This is obviously outside the lesson time and will depend on the number of students I have in one class. I give them little tasks each to strengthen the weaknesses of individual learners because having a sit-down with them individually helps me as a tutor understand how each learner works. Then, I give them tasks based on that, which are specific and personal per student. As well as peer-to-peer learning if it's a big class because sometimes students tend to listen to their peers better than anyone, so those who understand something in a class get chances to explain to the rest of the class for the better understanding of the students.
