"Hi everyone! My name is Jamie, and I am thrilled to be working with you.
As a recent high school graduate, I know exactly what it feels like to face a blank page or a complex essay prompt. My goal is to help you find your unique voice and the confidence to express it.
I’m passionate about the craft of writing and have had two of my own pieces put out for publication, which gave me a deep look into the professional editing and storytelling process. I plan to bring that same eye for detail and creativity to our sessions. Whether we are tackling grammar, structure, or creative flow, I am here to support you in becoming a sharper, more effective writer.

My tutoring style is honestly all about making sure you actually "get it" instead of just memorizing stuff for a test. I use a mix of the Socratic method and scaffolding, which basically means I’m not just going to hand over the answers. Instead, I’ll ask you specific questions that help you figure things out on your own, and we’ll build up from the easy parts to the harder concepts so you don't get overwhelmed. It’s like putting together a puzzle where I give you the edge pieces first so you have a frame to work with. These lessons are mainly for sophomores or younger students who want to stay on top of their classes without feeling totally burnt out. I’m here to help you connect the dots and feel way more confident when you're sitting in class or staring at a homework assignment.
