About Darlene
Working with children has always been a passion of mine, and I make it a lifelong goal to instill the love of music in every student I teach. When it comes to piano teaching, I try to make each lesson as engaging and interactive as possible so that students truly enjoy the experience. I am currently teaching both in person and virtually.
About me: I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education and have more than 10 years of experience teaching piano of all ages, including elementary, middle, and high schoolers. I also have taught piano to adults over 65 years old. I participated for many years in Lone Star College's jazz and steel band as the primary pianist. I am also the piano leader for my church's choir in my community.

Learning to play an instrument is as same as learning another language. Understanding students learn in different ways, being flexible and creative in teaching is the most important. Piano lessons focus on your unique interest. It can be classical, modern, or both. Students have the opportunity to begin a fun and exciting journey that will help them in realizing their musical dreams. Whatever your piano goals are, my job is to keep things engaging and fun without sacrificing the development of a solid, musical foundation.
