About Avi

Hello! I’m an Albanian tutor who loves making language learning fun, relaxed and meaningful. I’m friendly and patient, so you never have to feel shy about making mistakes. I’m also creative and entertaining — using games, stories and real-life dialogues to bring Albanian to life. Every lesson feels like a conversation rather than a test! My goal is to be supportive at every step: I adapt lessons to your pace, needs and interests, whether you’re learning for travel, work, family or curiosity. Together, we’ll build your confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing — always with a smile. If you’d like to learn Albanian in a way that’s friendly, relaxed and fun, I’d love to help you on your journey!

My lessons are designed to be easy, professional and enjoyable. I use clear explanations, real-life examples and lots of speaking practice so you feel confident using Albanian from the very start.

A typical lesson begins with a short conversation to warm up, followed by new vocabulary and grammar presented in a simple way. We then practise together through role plays, questions, or short texts. Finally, we review what you’ve learned and answer your questions. The aim is always to keep it useful and practical, so you can use Albanian in everyday life, at work or while travelling.

What sets me apart as a tutor is that I’m friendly, patient and truly love teaching. I always adapt the lesson to your level and interests, and I create a relaxed atmosphere where you feel comfortable to make mistakes and learn from them.

These lessons are for anyone who wants to learn Albanian — whether you are a complete beginner, someone who wants to practise conversation, or someone preparing for travel, work or family connections.

With me, learning Albanian is not just about memorising words — it’s about discovering the language and enjoying the journey!

  • 1) Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

I speak this language fluently because ot is my mother tongue.
  • 2) Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

An historical figure that represents Albania worldwide, is the national hero Scanderbeg(Gjergj Kastrioti)
  • 3) Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?

A phrase from the language that I love is "Gjuha kocka s'ka, por kocka thyen." Meaning that "The tongue doesn't have any bones but it does break them."
  • 4) Why does speaking this language matter to you?

It is important to expose people from all over the world to the beauty of albanian language.
  • 5) What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

One difficult thing is the different letters on the alphabet and their pronunciation because albanian as a language is a branch of it's own.
What can help people to learn the language is to try and speak as soon as they learn something as repetition helps.
  • 6) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

Two friends were chatting and one of them could speak English(A) and the other one not(B). A was telling B that he should try and learn it because it is needed wherever you might go.
One day, B meets a poliglot. The guys starts to communicate in many different languages, expect B's language, but the cannot understand each other. So the poliglot person leaves. Then B goes to A and tells him:"You keep on telling me to learn English, but look at that person, all those language he could speak and still couldn't understand me."
  • 7) How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

Being exposed to native speakers it always helps improve any language.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof in language?

One thing that makes me a Superprof is that I am always learning new languages and developing new learning methods so the the students will learn better.
