About Ivy
I am a passionate guitar tutor with 12 years of experience, having successfully taught over 300 high school and college students. My teaching philosophy focuses on making guitar learning enjoyable and accessible for all levels. I use real-life examples and case studies from various guitar genres—classical, jazz, electric, bass, and acoustic—to demonstrate key techniques and musical concepts. This helps students understand how to apply their skills in real-world scenarios. My lessons include not only technical skills like finger placement, strumming, and chord progressions, but also music theory, improvisation, ear training, and performance tips. I encourage creativity and strive to make learning enjoyable by using music students are passionate about. Whether you’re aiming to perform, record, or simply enjoy playing, my approach will help you grow as a guitarist.
