About Kendra
I teach guitar with over 7 years of experience and an Associate of Arts in Guitar Fundamentals. My focus is coaching students for band auditions, ensemble playing, and live performance dynamics. Lessons emphasise stage presence, tight rhythm, and effective collaboration.
Students develop skills in timing, harmony, and expressive playing within a group setting. I guide them in improvisation, soloing, and ensemble communication. My teaching style is supportive, encouraging, and goal-oriented.
We work on rehearsal techniques, performance readiness, and confidence on stage. Students practise adapting to different musical styles and following a band leader. I provide exercises tailored to both individual skill and group performance.
Lessons balance technical proficiency with musicality and creative collaboration. Students gain confidence performing with others and developing a professional approach to ensemble work. Together, we focus on making music that is tight, expressive, and enjoyable.

I teach guitar with an emphasis on ear training, melodic dictation, and transcribing songs. Lessons focus on interval recognition and developing aural skills for practical musical use. Students learn to identify melodies, chords, and rhythms by ear.
We practise listening exercises, transcription drills, and interval recognition games. Students gain confidence reproducing tunes and understanding music without relying on notation. Lessons are practical, interactive, and goal-oriented.
I work closely with campfire strummers and blues seekers, helping them strengthen their listening and playing skills. Feedback is consistent and constructive. Students learn to connect what they hear with what they play.
Lessons balance theory, aural exercises, and guitar application. Students develop musical independence and creative freedom. Together, we make music accessible through the power of listening.
