About Aadam
Personal Summary I am an ambitious individual looking to progress further into tutoring, whilst also gaining exposure to the lecturing educational environments. During my A-Levels (particularly English Literature), I have developed a huge attention to detail, whilst also refining my ability to condense information. As a result, I am able to work under pressure and also analytically whilst catering and communicating effectively to students with different abilities. Education Twenty Nineteen - present Biomedical Sciences BSC, Brunel University London Twenty Seventeen - Twenty Nineteen A Levels, B B in Biology and Chemistry respectively B achieved in AS English Literature Twenty Twelve - Twenty Seventeen Secondary Education, International 2 A*s including English literature and ICT 5 A’s in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History and Mathematics 2 B’s in English Language and Business Studies Work Experience Twenty Seventeen - Current Tutoring (3 years continuous) ❖ Balancing my studies whilst also tutoring students in English, Sciences and Mathematics. I have an excellent tutoring programme for my students and manage this via communication and time management skills. This has helped develop my ability to adapt teaching techniques to cater to each individual student’s needs. I have taught over 7 students in either Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry at GCSE or KS3 level. In August twenty nineteen two of my students attained a grade 7/A in Mathematics and the other in Biology, both their initial grades had been a predicted grade 5/C at GCSE just 9 months earlier. (Parents reference available on request) Care Home – Birchwood Grange Care Home Dec Twenty Eighteen to Mar Twenty Nineteen ❖ I have volunteered at this care home for over 6 months. During my time there, I have learnt how to deal with a variety of different people, whilst also engaging them with activities and leisure to alleviate their hardship. Charity Shop Kenton HA3 - British Heart Foundation Jul Twenty Eighteen to Dec Twenty Eighteen ❖ Participated as a shop assistant where I had communication with customers on the shop floor, whilst also tagging and sorting clothes. I have worked here for 6 months from which I have gained a vast number of skills such as: teamwork, effective contribution and working in a fast-paced environment. Northwick Park Hospital – Harrow HA3 July Twenty Eighteen I was fortunate to be 1 of 3 selected students to support this NHS Trust Hospital for a month training programme. I gained valuable insight into the following departments: radiotherapy, vascular and also dental. This was in collaboration to support my further educational programme in the dentistry field. Other Activities: As well my tutoring, retailing and care experience, during my time at Sixth Form, I have achieved a bronze award at the annual Royal Society of Chemistry Olympiad competition which is overseen by Cambridge University I did a sponsored run for Cancer Research 10km marathons in central London in February Twenty Eighteen. I achieved a black belt in karate at the age of 14 I have swum for my high School in Twenty Sixteen and Harrow & Wealdstone Swim Squad in Twenty Thirteen. In my free time I like to be productive so I try to socialise with friends or go to student union activities.
