I teach chess full-time to students of all ages and levels with a structured syllabus tailored to your strengths and weaknesses. Meetings start with a fun activity (a chess variant) followed by a lesson on a specific topic, then we'll play a game, analyze it together, and solve puzzles. You can also send me other games to analyze during the lesson, or pick your own topics like how to play a certain opening. I encourage everyone to do puzzles daily and look at the game review for your games.

I have a loving six-year-old grandson , as all grandfathers would say, he is quite bright. We stared taking chess lessons with Sean about two months ago. It has been a wonderful experience. Of special note is that Sean is extremely patient and nimble when it comes to dealing with a very active and precocious little boy. I have no hesitancy to give Sean the highest possible rating. As a long time teacher, I have the ability to identify teaching skills. Sean is a very good teacher. I had watched an online chess course and it was way over my head so I thought chess wasn't for me. But within 10 minutes Sean dispelled all that, made learning fun, AND taught me more in an hour than I learned during HOURS of online classes. Highly recommend Sean!
As an adult relearning the game Sean has been incredibly patient and taken away all the intimidation related to learning a game that can at sometimes seem overwhelming.
