I’m a First-Class Chemistry Graduate (Valedictorian, Top of Batch) from the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon, with research experience at the University of Oxford. I have several years of experience teaching Chemistry and Mathematics for Cambridge O/L and A/L students.
My teaching approach focuses on understanding concepts rather than memorising facts. I break complex ideas into simple, real-world explanations and guide students through plenty of exam-style practice questions to strengthen problem-solving skills. Each lesson is interactive, structured, and tailored to the student’s pace and learning style.
A typical session lasts 90 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the student’s goals and attention span. I provide clear notes, quick summaries of each topic, and regular mini-tests to track progress and reinforce understanding.
I teach students from year 7 upwards, including Cambridge Ordinary Level and Advanced Level Chemistry and Mathematics for students in New Zealand. My lessons are suitable for secondary and pre-university students who want to strengthen their subject foundations, improve grades, or prepare for exams.
I offer both online lessons (via Zoom or Google Meet) and in-person tutoring at my home in Point England, Auckland, or nearby suburbs.
My goal is to help students enjoy learning, think critically, and gain the confidence to succeed — both in exams and in their future studies.
