About Emily
I am a passionate art educator with a Master of Visual Arts from Hong Kong Baptist University and over eight years of teaching experience across Hong Kong and Australia. My love for art has been lifelong, but it was after becoming a mother that I truly discovered the joy of inspiring children to explore the possibilities of art and express themselves through creativity. I am dedicated to helping young learners build confidence, curiosity, and a strong foundation in art. My expertise spans sketching, calligraphy, watercolor, oil, and acrylic painting, with lessons that introduce diverse materials and techniques in a fun, age-appropriate way. I thoughtfully incorporate art history and artist spotlights into my classes, helping children appreciate art in its cultural and historical context. Beyond technical skills, I nurture each child’s unique artistic voice in a supportive and joyful environment. Outside the classroom, I also organize exhibitions to showcase my students’ work, offering opportunities for reflection, celebration, and growth.

My classes focus on building strong foundations in art through techniques like color mixing, shading, brushwork, and line work, while encouraging creativity and self-expression. Each lesson is tailored to suit the child’s age, interests, and individual abilities, creating a fun and supportive space for learning. We also explore a wide variety of media and materials—such as watercolor, acrylics, pastels, ink, collage, and more—to help children discover different ways of making art. Sessions typically run for 1–2 hours, depending on the child’s age, concentration, and needs. I introduce young learners to famous artists and age-appropriate art history to inspire curiosity and broaden their understanding. With a Master of Visual Arts and over 8 years of teaching experience across Hong Kong and Australia, I specialize in guiding children aged 2 to 12 with patience, playfulness, and care.
