About Jan
I am a retired Engineer and Surveyor. I have been a lecturer/teacher at 2 tertiary academic institutions, training centres of 2 mining companies and a school in Polokwane. I lost count of how many learners I assisted over the last 40 years, but a number of them have their own companies and sit on various board of directors currently. I have approx 20 years practical experience in the field of sciences/maths.

I have oodles of patience and compassion. I have been on the other side and I therefore understand when you struggle. I have lectured to learners at school (Grades 5 - 12), learners at Technikon level (First year up to fourth year). My teaching method is in some cases still old-school - board and chalk, pen and paper. However, technology has also caught up with me over the years. I don't let you if you don't understand a topic. I will use all possible avenues to make you understand. I approach each topic with an overview of what it's all about, identify core principles and then elaborate on them. I'm a true believer in practice makes perfect.
