I am currently tutoring maths and chemistry for a higher student, she has left a review on my account so check it out! I am also tutoring her younger sibling in primary school English and maths, who is really enjoying my lessons :)
I have tutored 2 students as a volunteer and mainly just helped with questions they were struggling with. I was there for support and someone to talk to for exam stress.
I tutor a national 5 maths student who was struggling with maths for 3 years and with my help she is now she is achieving 95% + in every test and on track to achieve an A in her may exams.
I also tutored a national 5 chemistry student who just needed a confidence boost, some extra practice and he achieved an A in his final exam!

I have just graduated with a first class honours degree in chemistry with drug discovery.
Im flexible and I can give all my attention to each student individually anytime of the week. Making sure the student feels comfortable enough to ask any question (even if its silly) is extremely important to me as I believe the basis of teaching is providing a safe and friendly environment for any type of questions!
The best way to learn is by practicing especially with maths and chemistry, you need to practice until it becomes second nature to you. I have so many past papers and practice questions from my own studies which helped me achieve constant A's, which I would love to share with my students to assist them with their goals. In my opinion, memorising is even harder than learning which is why I love knowing exactly whats going on in a question rather than racking my brain for a prewritten answer. I also want to build the students confidence with many tips and tricks on how to stay calm during an exam as I feel that will massively contribute to their marks. Panicking can sometimes drive us to silly answers that could have been avoided with some confidence.
Lesson structures will consist of:
- the first meeting will be for seeing where your strengths and weaknesses are
- boosting your confidence so that your weaknesses become your strengths with many practice questions
-closer to exam time we can start going through exam papers to spot patterns in the papers and lots of past paper practice!
- taking a closer look at harder A band 1 questions to make sure you're prepared for ANYTHING.
I really want the students to make their mistakes with me rather than in the exam. I will never make a student feel disappointed with their mistakes and rather see it as a learning curve, so they don't repeat the mistake in the exam.

Perfect! shereen tutored me in higher maths and chemistry for a small period of time just before my exams and in this small window she was given to work with she made me feel so much more confident and really put my mind at ease going into the exam. everything i went over with shereen i was able to answer to a very high standard. her teaching methods are brilliant and are very engaging, she goes above and beyond for her students and i would 100% recommend.

I found Shereen on superprof and chose her because she looked really friendly. She’s super nice during our sessions and explains everything really well. Without her I wouldn't have been able to get the A’s I needed in maths and chemistry.
Shereen is great at communicating concepts and she is so dedicated to making sure she explains a theory in the most simple way possible. She is always more than happy to help students with anything they need and she always goes an extra mile for them too! She is such an excellent tutor as she’s so patient and understanding.
