As a current 6th grade math teacher with experience in all areas of math up through Algebra, I specialize in building strong foundational skills while making math approachable and engaging for every learner.
My Teaching Method & Techniques:
I believe that students learn best when they feel confident and supported, so I focus on breaking down complex concepts into manageable, relatable steps. I use a blend of visual aids, real-world examples, and interactive problem-solving to keep lessons engaging. A Typical Lesson Plan:
Each session starts with a quick warm-up or review to assess understanding and build confidence. From there, we’ll dive into the core lesson, whether that’s mastering fractions, solving equations, or tackling word problems. I include guided practice, independent work, and time for questions. At the end, we’ll review key takeaways and set goals for the next session.
