About Rachel
I have an MA in French and German from St Edmund Hall, Oxford and have lived and worked in France, Belgium, Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein.
Since 2017 I have been giving private tuition to GCSE and A Level students, with excellent results and testimonials.
I now give hour-long lessons over Zoom and we use workbooks and past exam papers relevant to the student's examination Board. We also work on exam technique and timings, so that the student feels really settled and confident, knowing exactly what to expect in the final exams.

I teach in the way I was taught - and it works!
Explain a new topic or point of grammar, followed by plenty of practise exercises.
The student works really hard, but can ask questions at any point.
Each week we recap and repeat some of the learning points from the week before, before we move on to a new topic, so that the student feels really sure of their grasp of the subject.
We also use online listening exercises and prepare the speaking Q&As, prompt cards etc.
