About Jake
I am a knowledgeable and supportive History tutor, with experience teaching History lessons in a secondary school and mentoring GCSE History students with their essay-writing skills and content revision. I have helped students to develop their understanding of the subject and improve their grades.
I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE History and an A in A-level History, and I am currently studying History at the University of Oxford. I have a strong passion for the subject and hope to encourage and support other students in achieving their own academic goals.

Lessons will be tailored specifically to each student's individual needs in GCSE or A-level History. This may include focusing on learning and revising course content, developing essay and exam technique, or building confidence with particular areas of the specification.
For example, lessons could cover how to effectively analyse historical sources, structure essays, develop a strong and well-supported argument, and apply knowledge in a way that maximises the marks students can achieve in their exams.
