About Harriet
IHello! I’m Harri and I have recently graduated with a first in History from the University of Oxford. I have been a tutor for 7 years now, which speaks to how much I truly am passionate about teaching! I am a bubbly, caring and engaged person, who has always loved learning. I try to encourage my students to always find their interests and passions within the subject they are learning about. My credentials speak to my belief that hard work, focus and enthusiasm pays off in your studies. I have tutored both privately, in a tuition centre and created engaging content for tuition sites for years now, and love the work I do! Over these years, I have accumulated lots of revision, studying, essay writing, maths problem-related tips and tricks which I love to share with my students, to help their studies feel less overwhelming. I really try to inject lots of fun and enthusiasm into my lessons, as I want to encourage my students to love learning and the progress that can come with it! My lessons will be about an hour long, depending on tutor preferences, and I will bring resources depending on what I discuss with my student to help achieve their goals. I absolutely love history, and have lots of resources available to help talk you through the best essay-writing methodology! I love to approach my lessons with a really positive and encouraging attitude, as see tutoring as a collaborative process- how can we work together to make sure you achieve what you need with our lesson? I love to do this by setting clear, defined goals that we shape and achieve together :)
