About Riaz
I am a highly experienced teacher with an Oxbridge background and career experience as a civil servant and consultant working in the UK and overseas.
I hold both a Masters in Development Economics and a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from SOAS and the University of Oxford respectively.
I am currently teaching a foundation year economics programme at the University of Exeter.
From 2015-20 I took a career break, working as a full time musician, gaining experience teaching singing privately, as a Choir Director and in schools.
My teaching approach is highly adaptable based on the learning approach of the student, be they visual/oral/text-based learners or otherwise. I am highly results-focussed and efficient; my lessons are first and foremost centred around the student and their academic goals.
I'm also a caring and considerate teacher and like to build a cordial relationship with students to enhance the learning process.
