About Katharina
As a native German who was raised by two German language professors, teaching German to students is a genuine passion, and I am excited to not only pass on language skills but also give my students insights into German culture and mindset.
Currently a graduate student at the University of Oxford, I have collected valuable experiences in the German, American and British education systems. These insights give me a strong understanding of how to work towards success within particular education systems and how to combine their respective strong suits to lead my students towards their goals. As such, I have a wealth of different methods and materials at my disposal which enable me to neatly tailor my lessons to my students' age, goals, strengths, and weaknesses. In the past six years, I have been fortunate to accompany students from Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, and the US aged between 6 and 30 on their German language journeys, leading all of them to achieve the goals they had set for themselves.

With tutoring experience of over eight years, my lessons are neatly tailored towards my students' needs and goals. Having taught German both to natives and as a foreign language, I have a plethora of materials and experience in preparing students of any age to be successful within their respective education system. Creating ambitious, yet realistic, study plans and tracking progress are a vital part of my tuition. Both regular 1-2 hour lesson as well as half-day intense study sessions can be offered.
