About Aurora
Oxford DPhil student with proven success as an academic tutor at Oxford.
In this role I had to clearly communicate the course content, set tutorial work, and lead tutorials in which I help the students not only understand the content but actively tackle problems. I regularly explain complex concepts to the class of 7 undergraduates. I mark their problem sheets, identifying errors in their calculations or in their thinking. I focus on helping the individual student firstly understand their faulty approach and advise them on the correct approach. This role necessitates a calm and warm temperament and the ability to exercise judgement in how best to tailor my advice to fit the needs of the student.
I am excited to transfer this experience to the world of tutoring students !
