About Leah
I started my career with Cobb county in 2002. I worked as a classroom teacher for grades K-5 before becoming an academic coach and supporting teachers in those grade levels. Most recently I have worked as an RTI coach where I coordinated an intervention program at my elementary school to help all student meet grade level expectations.

Using my experience from 20 years of teaching across all elementary school grade levels, I use hands-on, student-centered lessons and research-based strategies to help my students succeed. With a bachelors in special education, a masters in early childhood education, a specialist in curriculum and instruction, ESL certification, and Orton-Gillingham training, I find strategies to help students succeed. I believe that all students can learn in their own way and at their own rate. I meet my students where they are and scaffold lessons to help them achieve grade level success.
