About Magda
Hello! My name is Magda Du Toit, and I’m passionate about helping students reach their full potential. I come from a diverse background with experience in sales, management, and entrepreneurship, but one of my most rewarding roles was being a youth pastor for 7 years. This role taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and clear communication, all of which are essential in teaching. I’m currently studying TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) because I believe that learning a new language opens doors to new opportunities and helps people connect across cultures. My experience working with young people has equipped me to teach with compassion and a deep commitment to my students’ growth. In my lessons, I focus on creating a supportive and interactive environment, helping you not just learn but enjoy the process. Whether you're just starting out or improving your skills, I'm here to guide and encourage you every step of the way!

I am proficient in English and Afrikaans. Since I am currently studying TEFL, I can integrate my teaching approach with the methodologies I am learning. For example, in teaching English as a foreign language, I can emphasize communication skills, interactive activities, and cultural immersion, which would align well with my student-focused learning style. As I progress in my studies, I can adapt my tutoring to include techniques such as role-playing, conversational practice, and using multimedia resources to enhance language acquisition.
