About Kimberly
I am an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) with 5 years of professional classroom experience and over 7 years of tutoring expertise. I specialize in high school English (Grades 9–12), ESL, and Social Sciences. Because I actively and currently teach the current Ontario curriculum, I know exactly what classroom teachers look for when grading assessments, essays, and exams.
Teaching is my true passion, driven by the belief that true learning happens when students are genuinely engaged and actively building self-confidence. Over my career, I have worked with a diverse multitude of learners, allowing me to adapt to any student's unique learning style.
There is nothing more rewarding to me than guiding a student through a difficult concept and witnessing that breakthrough "a-ha" moment when everything finally clicks.

• Academic Formatting & Polish: Complete guidance on MLA formatting, proper citation styles, proofreading, and editing.
• Critical Literacy Skills: Advanced annotating techniques, inference building, text analysis, and review of literary elements and devices.
Every student's journey begins with a targeted diagnostic assessment to pinpoint their current strengths and needs. From there, I build a customized learning plan designed to meet their academic goals and boost their confidence in the English subject.
