About Joe
I am an experienced online tutor from Singapore with over 7 years of teaching experience, specializing in Primary and Secondary English, Math, and Science. I enjoy tutoring because I believe every child can do well when concepts are explained clearly, patiently, and in a way they understand. Over the years, I have worked with students from different learning backgrounds, including international students studying in English-medium schools, and I understand the challenges they face — especially when English may not be their first language. My teaching approach is structured and supportive. I focus on helping students build strong foundations, understand concepts step by step, and gain confidence in applying what they learn. Rather than rote memorization, I guide students to think, ask questions, and develop problem-solving skills. I am particularly passionate about working with Primary and Secondary students, as these years are crucial in shaping their learning habits and confidence. I aim not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them become more independent and motivated learners. I currently offer online lessons, with availability during 9am–12pm (Singapore time), which suits students based in Asia-Pacific regions. I am happy to offer a trial lesson to assess the student’s needs and learning style.
