About Jacob
I am a qualified solicitor working in litigation, with experience in civil and commercial disputes, civil procedure, drafting, witness evidence, applications, settlement strategy and court preparation.
I qualified as a solicitor at 24 and now work in-house within a Fortune 500 company, giving me practical insight into how legal issues are handled in a commercial and professional environment. I bring that experience into my tutoring by helping students understand not only the law itself, but how to apply it clearly, logically and confidently.
I have completed the SQE route and understand how demanding legal assessments can be. My sessions are designed to be supportive, structured and practical, with a focus on exam technique, clear written answers, and developing the skills expected of future solicitors.
I can assist with SQE1, SQE2, LPC, PGDL and LLB-level study, particularly in civil litigation, dispute resolution, legal writing, drafting, advocacy, interviewing, attendance notes and problem-question technique.

My tutoring is practical, structured and tailored to the individual student. I focus on helping students understand both the law and how to apply it clearly in exams, assessments and practical legal tasks.
Lessons can be arranged as either one-off sessions on a specific topic or as part of a tailored study plan. For example, I can assist with SQE1/SQE2 preparation, civil litigation, dispute resolution, legal writing, drafting, advocacy, client interviewing, case and matter analysis, problem questions and exam technique.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes. Sessions usually involve identifying the student’s key areas of difficulty, breaking the topic or task down into a clear structure, working through examples, and then applying that structure to exam-style or practice-based questions.
I am a practising litigation solicitor with experience in civil and commercial disputes, including pleadings, applications, witness evidence, settlement, court preparation and case analysis. This allows me to teach in a practical and solicitor-focused way, rather than simply covering textbook law.
My lessons are suitable for SQE candidates, LPC/PGDL students, LLB students and anyone looking to improve their legal writing, drafting, litigation knowledge or practical legal skills.
