About Kirstie
I graduated in 2010 from BIMM London with a Bmus in Popular Music Performance (Vocals) which focussed on contemporary vocal technique, vocal care and health, performance, theory, composition and music technology.
In 2019 I graduated from Bath Spa University with an MA in Songwriting which involved writing, arranging and recording my own original compositions.
My main instrument is my voice but I also play piano, guitar and ukelele.
I hold a CACHE Level 3 in Children and young person's workforce and hold a DBS. I have worked as a music and art teacher and base my lessons around children and young people's interests. I am in the final stages of completing a City and Guilds in Education and training to extend my practice.
I am currently tutoring people of varying ages and experience and am enjoying tailoring lessons to their individual goals and needs. It makes me very happy to help my students overcome confidence issues in order to access their potential.

My songwriting lessons are learner focused and aim to be creative and fun. It is ok if you do not play an instrument. I will look at what you want or need to learn and devise a program that suits you and your learning style. I believe learning is most effective when we put theory into practice and so as we cover songwriting skills we will be incorporating theory, composition, vocal technique, music technology and musicology.
