About Farah Shalin
Hi, I’m a dedicated and enthusiastic Mathematics and Trigonometry tutor who believes that learning should feel empowering—not overwhelming. With years of tutoring experience and a natural flair for making complex ideas simple, I help high school students (Years 5–12) build confidence, improve results, and even enjoy Math along the way. My lessons are online-only and tailored to each student’s learning style. Whether you’re a visual learner, a hands-on problem solver, or someone who just needs things explained in plain English, I adapt my teaching to suit you. I break down tricky concepts into manageable steps, using clear examples, interactive methods, and plenty of encouragement. Each session runs for 60 minutes, with a balance of teaching, practice, and feedback. I also weave in helpful tips for exams, study habits, and real-life applications—because Math isn’t just about numbers; it’s about thinking logically and creatively. I bring a positive, professional approach to every session. I’m known for being approachable, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping students succeed. And yes—I love to dance! I believe that bringing joy and energy into learning helps students stay motivated and engaged. If you're looking for a tutor who is experienced, reliable, and ready to support your unique learning journey, I’d love to work with you.

I believe learning should feel empowering and even a little fun! As an online Mathematics and Trigonometry tutor, I blend solid structure with creativity to help students build confidence, not just cram formulas.
My teaching style is student-led and adaptive: I start by understanding how you learn best—whether you're a visual thinker, a step-by-step problem solver, or someone who needs to know the "why" before the "how." I break down complex topics into clear, manageable parts using relatable examples (sometimes even with a dash of dancing to keep things memorable!).
Each lesson is 60 minutes long, with room for flexibility depending on your pace and needs. We start with a quick review, tackle a core concept, work through examples together, and end with a mini quiz or reflection to lock it in.
I’m experienced in tutoring high school students (Years 5–12), and I specialise in exam preparation, topic catch-up and confidence building in Trigonometry and broader Maths topics. I’ve helped students move from “I don’t get this at all” to “Wait—I can actually do this!”
Whether you're preparing for assessments or just want Maths to feel less scary, I’m here to support you at your level with a little rhythm and fun along the way!
