About Tanya
I recently moved to the Pennines in a beautiful area which is great but has made face-to-face tuition impossible, and I've come to love online tuition. My background is in art and design and I have a master's in Creative Writing. I am a writer of short stories, plays and poetry; some of which have been published. I love combining music and drama and am involved in a drama group locally. I have a four-year-old beagle called Daisy who takes me for a walk every morning before work, and a twelve-year-old tabby cat called Ronnie who loves cuddles.

Hello. My aim is to help people who find Maths or English difficult or even boring, to build a thirst for knowledge in these areas, gain confidence and achieve qualifications. I tutor online using Zoom which is a great platform. I love the ability to use a huge page and build knowledge on there in a fun and accessible way. Maths and English are so important for many reasons. Most jobs and courses require you to have Maths and English GCSEs for entry. It's the best thing in the world for me when I see a student go from lacking confidence in a subject, to having fun and looking forward to lessons. I like to work in an organic way. Rather than going through the curriculum in a set order, I will be guided by gaps in the student's knowledge and only spend time on areas in need.
