About Emily
Hi everyone,
My name is Emily and I have 3 years’ experience as a tutor for pupils looking to improve their GCSE outcomes. My experience extends to both online and in classroom teaching of small groups as well as one to one with individual students.
I am an accomplished Spanish speaker, with AQA GCSE Grade 9 and AQA A-Level A* in Spanish. I am currently an under-graduate studying Spanish at the University of Exeter. It has not been that long since I was at school and although I am an accomplished tutor already, I can also relate to the children I work with.
What can you expect from me?
I love teaching and my enthusiasm for Spanish is contagious! If you are looking to prepare for your GCSE Spanish exams, then I can help you. I build relationships with my students quickly, understanding their individual needs to find ways to bring Spanish to life and create an enthusiasm for the topic. We will work together to deliver your success.
My teaching style is to focus on the needs of the individual, creating a comfortable and enjoyable learning environment. I work with students to understand where they need to improve to achieve the best result possible in their exams.
I have a track record of working with pupils who have a range of special educational needs. Therefore, I will gladly speak to both the parents and the pupils to understand their needs before our online classes begin.

We will start with gaining an understanding of your current level of Spanish. This will help me shape our future lessons together. I offer this first lesson for free and with no obligation to book further lessons. You need to be comfortable that I am the right tutor for you, and I want to be sure I can help you succeed at GCSE.
In our lessons we will work through the GCSE syllabus, spending most time on the areas that you need to work on, bringing your overall level of Spanish up as high as possible ahead of your exams.
We will focus on Spanish grammar as well as the four main skills necessary for the GCSE exams, being speaking, listening, reading and writing. We will do all of this together and at a pace designed around you.
