About Nae
Kia ora! My name is Nae (pronounced "Nay"). I am NZ-born and speak fluent English. I am a big advocate for protecting hauora.
As a current university student (master's degree), I understand how crucial it is to find a teacher/tutor who can provide clear support, that is also your cheerleader for success (hi, that's me!).
University Qualifications: Although I do not have a direct qualification in English, I have many in psychology. I started off studying a bachelor's degree in psychology, with a minor in human development. I have also completed 2x postgraduate diplomas (one in psychology, and the other in counseling and guidance studies). As mentioned before, I am also studying a master's degree in psychology.

Lessons: I offer communication through email or through Zoom (your choice).
Assignments: I am happy to review and give feedback on your assignments (e.g., essays) that you don't feel confident submitting yet (outside of a Zoom call). I ask that you email me your assignment, along with the instructions and marking rubric (if available). Once sent, I will aim to get back to you within the next 2 days. If you would prefer to present your work only during our Zoom call, we can collaborate using shared documents (Google Docs is preferred).
Other options: I can also offer my support if you purely want help to break down the instructions for your assignments and marking rubric criteria (I know from my own experiences, I find this to be the most challenging part).
I pride myself on offering lessons that are down-to-earth, helpful, and where I am approachable. I understand that every student has different learning needs/styles so I will tailor your lesson plan to suit you and the way you learn best (within my own abilities). This can be discussed during our initial lesson.
