About Hager
This is Hajar Ali, a CCTAFL-qualified teacher with a Diploma in Arabic Grammar and Morphology. Having been teaching both Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian Colloquial Arabic, I did a number of tailored courses for specific fields such as psychology and literary criticism. I usually work from Samia Louis' books, Lughatuna Al Fusha for Modern Standard Arabic and Kalimni Arabi for Egyptian Colloquial Arabic. However, I am open for any other book you prefer to use for your learning process.

Please note that my approach to Arabic is not religion focused, meaning that I don't give lessons for Tajueed and Quraan, yet I can help you master your standard Arabic if you wish.
As a teacher, I implement a student-centred approach in my classes so that learners can develop clearer understanding and sharper memory.
My lesson plans resemble a sandwich: it starts and ends with a recap that encapsulates the gradual learning process followed by controlled, semi-controlled and free activities to make hay while the sun shines.
It is patience, simplicity, originality, and soothing atmosphere that always open my students' hearts to feel Arabic and, at the end, speak it.
I am open for all Arabic students from absolute beginners to native-like speakers who wish to harness their tongues even more.
