About Dayshon
Over the 7 years I have tutored, I observed that confidence can make or break a student’s ability to succeed. I’ve heard so many students say, “I just can’t do math,” and “I’m just not a math person,” but that is false. I wholeheartedly believe that EVERYONE is a math person; math is all around us, and we do math every day without knowing it. My favorite thing to tell students is: if you truly believe in yourself, persist, and refuse to give up, you will succeed. Conversely, if you keep telling yourself you cannot do this, you will not be able to do it, so choose your outcome, and persist. I uplift students whenever I can because I know the importance of it! And, more so, I know that everyone can succeed in math with the right attitude, confidence, and the will to persist. I always say, driving a car is actually quite difficult. There are so many calculations you have to make, so many things to be aware of, but we all learn to do it, and it seems easy because our lives depend on it. So do math like your life depends on it—because it does.

Not only have I taken every course I tutor at an advanced level in high school, but I further went on to thoroughly study these subjects (and higher mathematics) at The Ohio State University to obtain a mastery level of understanding of them. Furthermore, I have tutored these subjects for several years, so I have a diverse set of teaching methods for several different learning styles students have, assuring the student is able to adequately understand the material.
