About Emily
I have teaching qualifications in math grades 7-12, general science, and senior chemistry and biology.
I’ve worked with kids, ages k-12, for over 6 years, and now I teach full time in the Toronto district school board. My tutoring sessions are engaging and stimulating for students, and I Walsh make sure to tailor my teaching style and practice to my student’s needs.

During the very first tutoring session I have with a student, I require them to complete a diagnostic assessment to evaluate what level they’re at with the subject. From there, I provide weekly review lessons followed by a series of related questions of increasing difficulty to build a strong foundational understanding, but also critical problem-solving skills for higher-order thinking.
