About Kelsey
Hey! I'm Kelsey, a rising junior studying Musical Theater at NYU Tisch's New Studio on Broadway. Not only has NYU been recognized as the #1 most-represented school on Broadway for countless years in a row; but I am also taught by professionals currently working in the industry, which means I get the inside scoop of what is happening both in front of and behind the table! I have 13 years of theater experience! My work has been described as "authentic, full-hearted, and brave," and I can't wait to teach you how to achieve this! I love really delving into a script and getting to know the ins and outs of each character I play. What time do they wake up in the morning? How do they tie their shoes? Furthermore, I enjoy discovering ways to shut off that inner critic and physically "drop in" to a moment that helps each performance feel genuine and grounded. At the end of the day, we are playing pretend, it's *play* so my lessons are always a safe space to try new things and "fail forward." I can't wait to get to work!
