About Hitomi
I grew up in Tokyo, surrounded by the fast energy of the city, the language, and of course plenty of anime and manga. After moving to NYC, I discovered how much I enjoy helping people understand Japanese in a natural, enjoyable way. I am very friendly, easygoing, and happy to teach through conversation, culture, or your favorite shows - whatever keeps you motivated!!

Perfect! Hitomi is a wonderful teacher. My son is totally enjoying his lessons and she is patient and playful. She has been able to engage him to speak Japanese more conversationaly and it must be said that she is very good with him as he is a special needs person who has a particular skill in picking up Japanese. She is flexible and finds his level and strengths while gently helping with his weak areas. I highly recommend.
