About Wen Kang
Hi, I'm Wen. I'm an NUS undergraduate available to tutor O-Level Maths and O-Level / A-Level Chinese and Higher Chinese.
Maths is about practice, but the mindset while practicing is what I push students on. Understanding what went wrong is as important as getting it right. I'll find where your weaknesses actually are and work through the questions with you.

I teach Secondary Mathematics (E-Math and A-Math) for students who understand the topics in class but lose marks in assignments and exams.
The first lesson will be an evaluation of the current foundation of the student. I will be looking out for four things: was the topic actually understood, do the workings demonstrate the understanding, questions that could do but did not have enough time or any misconceptions.
Subsequent lessons (2 hours each) are built around the student's weakness where I will come up with the specialized questions between sessions. We will spend time on weak topics rather than comfortable ones.
Outside of class, I appreciate students being proactive in their learning and will accept up to 5 questions weekly outside lesson time. The student will send their working and what their doubt is and I will reply within 24 hours.
