About Manya
Hi, I'm Manya, a final-year fashion design student at Nottingham Trent University. My own work leans towards dark, minimal and conceptual design, and I love helping others find and develop their own creative voice.
Alongside my degree, I create visual and brand assets for a luxury stone business and I'm co-founding a baby wear brand, so I understand how design work is presented and judged in the real world, not just at university.
I want to teach because I remember how overwhelming portfolio building felt: knowing what to include, how to show my process, and how to make my work stand out. Having gone through GCSE, A-level and degree applications myself, I know what examiners and admissions tutors look for.
I'm friendly, patient and honest in my feedback, and my goal is for every student to leave with a portfolio they feel genuinely proud of.

I'm a final-year fashion design student at Nottingham Trent University, and I know how stressful portfolio building can be because I've been through it myself, from GCSE and A-level coursework right through to university applications.
My lessons are for GCSE, A-level and foundation students, and anyone preparing a portfolio for an art or fashion degree. Together we'll:
• Develop your ideas from research and mood boards into a strong, personal concept
• Build sketchbook pages that show your creative process, not just final outcomes
• Improve fashion illustration, layout and presentation
• Select and order your best work so your portfolio tells a clear story
• Prepare you to talk confidently about your work at interviews
Every lesson is tailored to you. I'll look at where your portfolio is now, what your exam board or chosen universities are looking for, and focus on what will make the biggest difference.
Lessons usually last 60 minutes, online or in person in Nottingham. Your first step is simply sharing what you've got so far, and we'll build from there.
