About Ben
During a break in my studies, I lived and worked in Norway for a year and have returned on a regular basis for both work and vacation. My Norwegian is at an upper-intermediate to advanced level, depending on the topic and I am happy to teach beginner to intermediate level students.
I recently returned to the UK after spending 6 years in Asia teaching English. I now specialise in education administration, but I continue to teach and tutor students to help them improve their English.
I have a bachelor degree in English Language and a CertTESOL qualification.
I have successfully helped countless students achieve their goals on the IELTS and TOEFL tests. I also specialise in essay writing, where my eye for good structure and organisation has been of benefit to a large number of Hong Kong and mainland Chinese students when producing written assignments.

I have experience in teaching students of all ages from primary level to adult learners, although most of my experience has been with secondary school and university-level students.
I like to work with individuals and small groups where it is easier to build a rapport and gain a deeper understanding of students' problem areas.
I am a professional and like to keep lessons focussed and goal-oriented while maintaining a realistic, long-term approach.
