About Chandra michaela
I enjoy teaching as it allows me to connect to our future workforce, those who will have an impact in my life no matter how great or small. I enjoy teaching as it gives me the opportunity to engage with others outside of a confined space, even if it is virtual. Knowing that you are able to bring light to a dark situation brings me comfort and reassurance that there is something right that I am able to do as well. I tutored privately part-time and assisted teachers with extra lessons during high school. I have also been privileged enough to complete my 4 year teaching degree at NMU, graduating in 2018.

discussions and conversation in Afrikaans will be throughout most lessons taught. As English native language speaker myself I find that learners learn best when the Afrikaans is related to the English language concepts too. Reading and writing is what will be most prevalent in lessons taught and talking about what is being meant to learn as well. I am trained and qualified to teach the intermediate phase level i.e. grades 4-6.
