About Michaela
Hello! My name is Michaela and I am a Neuropsychology graduate from the University of Sussex. I am currently working as a Learning Support Assistant in a primary school.
Working with children every day has shown me that every student learns differently. My goal is to make maths feel less overwhelming, by creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and build confidence.
I have experience supporting children aged 5-13, including pupils with additional learning needs. My background in psychology helps me understand how children learn and stay motivated, allowing me to adapt my teaching style to suit each individual student.
Whether your child needs help building strong mathematical foundations, preparing for assessments or simply gaining confidence in the subject I will tailor each lesson to their goals and learning style.
I look forward to helping students achieve their full potential!

My technique is centred around building a foundation in maths so that students gain confidence as well as knowledge.
I adapt every lesson to the individual student's learning style using clear explanations and examples. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
Lessons are typically one hour long, although shorter sessions can be arranged if needed.
I hold a BSc Neuropsychology degree and currently work as a learning support in a primary school. I have previously worked as an SEN teaching assistant and have worked with kids aged 5-13, supporting a wide range of learning needs and abilities.
My lessons are suitable for primary school pupils and GCSE maths.
