About Irene
Habari! I'm Irene, a native Swahili and Luo speaker from Kenya, fully fluent in English. Most Swahili tutors online are monolingual. I grew up speaking two Kenyan languages and code-switching daily, so I know exactly where English speakers get stuck and why.
Outside tutoring, I work in healthcare, where my job is explaining complicated things clearly to people under stress. That's the same skill I bring to teaching a new language: no jargon, no overwhelm, just what you need at your level.
