About Nam
I taught students German from scratch and prepared Uni students for exams. I also have a lot of students who want to focus on speaking. We have conversational lessons about any topics like holiday, sports or politics.
Throughout the years I realised the best way to improve language skills is to communicate a lot with native speakers and constantly talk. The effect will be faster and more efficient.
I have a background in banking and economics. I worked in a bank for several years in and studied business and economics in Germany, so I also can help you with business german.
I am a relaxed, very patient and open-minded guy so hit me up if you need any help :)

Hey guys, I am Nam. I was born and raised in Germany with Vietnamese roots. I grew up bilingual at home, so my native languages are German and Vietnamese. I lived in Germany my whole life but also lived in Vietnam, New Zealand and Australia.
I teach German to students who are on beginner, intermediate or advanced level. Every student is of course on a different level so every lesson is individual and customised to the student. I have a variety of textbooks for every level, but not every exercise in textbooks are useful because we talk differently in real life. That’s why I like to include text articles or German videos.

Perfect! Nam is a fantastic German teacher. Each lesson has a really nice flow and structure and he lays everything out in an easy to understand way whilst being a super friendly guy!
Perfect! Very good with the basics and pronunciation! Also knows a lot about how German people are.
Perfect! Nam is a very friendly and effective teacher, I recommend him to anyone in Melbourne that is looking to improve their German skills.
Perfect! Nam has been so far a fantastic tutor for practising my German-speaking! He is really patient, friendly, and easy to talk to, and keeps the conversation flowing with ease. During the conversation, he takes notes about points to review at the end of the session. I really appreciate this because it does not interrupt the flow of the conversation, and the recap is great for going over words or phrases that I stumbled over during the chat. Overall, if you're looking to quickly build confidence with your German-speaking, Nam will help tremendously with that!

Nam is an amazing teacher! He’s dependable, extremely knowledgeable and very friendly! Learning a new language can be daunting at times, especially as you cope with the fear of talking to native speakers. Nam is funny, easy to talk to and very helpful, giving you tips to improve your abilities along the way. He can help you learn German from scratch or, if you’re an advanced speaker, he can help you polish your skills and take you to the next level. Thanks for your continuing help, Nam!
Nam is an honest and caring tutor. His teaching style is very clear and knows how your german can be improved. He has been travelling many countries so he has a good understanding of different backgrounds as well. You will find his lesson reliable and fun! Highly recommended:)
